The Lisbon School Department is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and skilled Elementary Special Education Teacher. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting diverse learners and creating an inclusive, engaging classroom environment where every student can thrive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
- develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- provide direct instruction in academic, social, and behavioral skills
- collaborate with general education teachers, other special educations teachers, specialists and families
- monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
REQUIREMENTS: Maine Certification 282 or 286 and CHRC certification.
START DATE: AUGUST 2026
