Lisbon Day Treatment Middle/High School Special Education Teacher
Maine Certification 282 or 286 and CHRC required
The Lisbon School Department is currently seeking a highly qualified K-12 certified Special Education Teacher at the Gartley Street School. The successful candidate must demonstrate being student centered with a strong grasp of special education regulations, including Best Practices in individualized Day Treatment Behavioral instruction, the ability to teach students who have diverse backgrounds, ability to use technology in instruction, willingness to be a team player and to support the mission of the school.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: Experience working with students of different abilities and with emotional and behavioral challenges. Training and/or experience in a behavioral health care environment; working with students with multiple disabilities, and experience or
willingness to train with Safety Care behavioral supports.
