The Lisbon School Department is currently seeking a dynamic and highly qualified World Language Teacher for grades 9-12. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with a fellow foreign language teacher, as well as be student-centered with a strong knowledge of content, including best practices in foreign language instruction, an understanding of standards-based assessment, the ability to use technology in instruction and the willingness to support the mission of the school department. This position requires the ability to create unique and engaging world and culture elective courses.
Requirements/Experience: Appropriate Maine Certification and CHRC for the language offered. (410 Latin, 420 French, 430 German, 440 Spanish, 445 Portuguese, 450 Russian, 454 American Sign Language, 455 Hebrew, 456 Arabic, 460 Italian, 465 Greek, 470 Chinese, or 480 Japanese)
