LISBON SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

ED TECHS II/III- District Wide
7 hours per day / 35 hours per week / 36 weeks per year

The Lisbon School Department is searching for a responsible candidate to assist a Special Education teacher with the running of a resource or self-contained classroom(s). The candidate will work with numerous special education students and be able to supervise and coordinate IEP services with special education teacher.

Working also with elementary, middle school, and high school students with disabilities in a self-contained resource or mainstream environment to provide support in order for them to benefit from their education and to access free appropriate public education (FAPE).

Experience needed: Special education experience preferred, will train appropriate candidate.

Requirements: Current Maine State Ed Tech II authorization.  Must also be fingerprinted by the Department of Education.

The Lisbon School Department is looking for a compassionate, dedicated individual to join our dynamic team in a specialized K-12 day treatment program.  This unique opportunity involves working closely with students who have emotional, behavioral and academic challenges, providing them with the support they need to thrive.

As a key team member, you will collaborate with experienced Special Education teachers and licensed social workers to deliver personalized academic instruction and emotional support in a self-contained classroom setting. SPEECH & LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
to begin 2026/2027 School Year

The Lisbon School Department is seeking a certified and motivated individual to join a comprehensive and highly-skilled special education team that is made up of special educators, an occupational therapist, a physical therapy assistant, social worker, school psychologist, speech & language pathologist and educational technicians. As a member of this team, the speech & language pathologist will be responsible for providing services to help reduce or eliminate speech and language impediments that interfere with a student’s ability to benefit from the district’s educational program. This position could require the candidate to work in three school buildings that are in close proximity (middle and high schools and day treatment) which necessitates exemplary organizational skills, the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with coworkers and to follow federally mandated timelines for documentation of the provision of services.

Experience Needed: Working with students with speech and language deficits. MUST HAVE SPEECH & LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST LICENSE and CHRC CERTIFICATION.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with a district music department as well as be student-centered with a strong knowledge of content, including best practices in Music instruction, an understanding of standards-based assessment, the ability to use technology in instruction and the willingness to support the mission of the school department. This position requires the ability to create unique and engaging music elective courses as well as facilitate middle school and high school band and chorus ensembles after school for an additional stipend.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: Must have Maine State Teacher’s Certification with Music Endorsement 614. Previous experience preferred.

DIRECTOR OF NUTRITION

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
The district is seeking applications for a Director of Nutrition beginning July 1, 2026. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of food service program planning, required food safety practices, management of scheduling, finances and staffing, as well as the ability to maintain accurate production records which conform to federal/state guidelines. This individual has oversight of the breakfast and lunch programs and staff for the district’s 4 locations, as well as supporting special program needs, often working alongside kitchen staff.Knowledge of PowerSchool, NEO Reporting, spreadsheets and maintaining knowledge of ongoing state nutrition initiatives and grants is required. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
The successful candidate will hold or be able to obtain ServSafe certification, a valid Maine driver’s license and a clean Criminal History Record Check.  Preferred, but not required, qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in food service management or food nutrition; prior years of experience in food service management or school nutrition; and/or to be a registered dietitian/school nutrition specialist. Training may be provided prior to July 1.

The Lisbon School Department is seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as a long term substitute in the role as a School Counselor for the Lisbon Community School from August to October 2026. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful history of working at elementary level.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to collaborate within and among teams, the ability to establish positive relationships with students, the ability to establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a supportive learning environment, the ability to effectively work with small groups and individuals as needed and other school related tasks as requested by Administration as may be required for the efficient and effective operation of the building.

Requirements/Experience: Knowledge of and experience supporting individuals and/or small groups with ACES.  A Bachelor’s degree and Maine certification in Mental Health, Social Work, or Maine School Counseling (075), and CHRC approval.
